Engine 2 and Engine 3 responded to John St. in Pittston City for the reported working Dwelling Fire. 165 units were first arriving to find fire throughout a dwelling with partial collapse. Initial crews stretched lines for a defensive operation. Engine 2 and Engine 3 arrived together and was sent to check the for extension in the exposures, which proved to be negative. Crews would then relieve 165 on a hand line in the rear of the structure. Engine 2 was ordered to lay a secondary water supply, however it was not used. Crews remained on scene to operate hand lines until a excavator could be brought in to expose the remaining fire under the collapsed structure. Crews cleared the scene after 6 hours.
