Engine 2 Assists Duryea

Engine 2 responded to Lackawanna Ave in Duryea to assist with a working dwelling fire. The engine arrived and placed a second hand line in service along with E126 in the attic. The fire was knocked down quick and crews performed overhaul to check for any further extension. Engine 2 was released by Duryea command after about 2 hours.

Units responded to Craig st, early this morning for a dwelling fire. Crews were met with heavy fire conditions upon arrival, bringing in a second alarm. Crews encountered heavy fire in the attic area. The fire was knocked down quickly and no injuries were sustained.

Units responded to Cascade Tissue last night for a commercial fire alarm. Upon arrival crews found a working fire in the bailer, which upgraded the alarm to the structure box. 2 hand lines were stretched to extinguish the fire and extensive overhaul was done to pull out all the burning paper.

Engine 2 and the Truck responded to Washington Terrace to assist Pittston City with a dwelling fire. 165 and 148 units (Pittston City and Jenkins Twp.) had the bulk of the fire knocked down. 166 units operated on division 2 performing overhaul and extinguishing hot spots that were found.

Engine 2 and Rescue 1 responded to the 100 block of Mcalpine St. in Duryea late this morning for a reported dwelling fire. Engine 2 arrived on scene and established the water supply before placing two hand lines in operation alongside Engines 126, and 143.
