Engine 2 responded to Lackawanna Ave in Duryea to assist with a working dwelling fire. The engine arrived and placed a second hand line in service along with E126 in the attic. The fire was knocked down quick and crews performed overhaul to check for any further extension. Engine 2 was released by Duryea command after about 2 hours.

Engine 2 and the truck responded to W. Oak in Pittston City for a fire in a commercial building. Due to the advancement of the fire upon arrival, the ladder would utilize the aerial waterway and a ground monitor for the duration of the night.

Rescue 1 and Engine 2 responded to Rt. 315 in the area of the Interstate 81 off ramp for a reported tractor trailer rollover with entrapment. While responding, multiple calls for entrapment were recieved, adding Engine 148 ( Jenkins Twp.) to the run.

Units responded to Craig st, early this morning for a dwelling fire. Crews were met with heavy fire conditions upon arrival, bringing in a second alarm. Crews encountered heavy fire in the attic area. The fire was knocked down quickly and no injuries were sustained.

Units responded to Cascade Tissue last night for a commercial fire alarm. Upon arrival crews found a working fire in the bailer, which upgraded the alarm to the structure box. 2 hand lines were stretched to extinguish the fire and extensive overhaul was done to pull out all the burning paper.

Crews made quick a work of a dwelling fire on Suscon rd. In the Twp. this afternoon. Companies arrived to find a smoke coming from the “b” side of the dwelling. The engine stretched a line to extinguish the fire while the truck started opening up and searching the fire room.

Engine 2 and the Truck responded to Washington Terrace to assist Pittston City with a dwelling fire. 165 and 148 units (Pittston City and Jenkins Twp.) had the bulk of the fire knocked down. 166 units operated on division 2 performing overhaul and extinguishing hot spots that were found.

Engine 2 and Rescue 1 responded to the 100 block of Mcalpine St. in Duryea late this morning for a reported dwelling fire. Engine 2 arrived on scene and established the water supply before placing two hand lines in operation alongside Engines 126, and 143.

Crews responded to Wood St. in Pittston City as part of a second alarm assignment for a working dwelling fire with entrapment. 1st alarm companies placed handlines in operation and immediately began the rescue efforts for the entrapped child on division 2.
